Jane C. Cook, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cornea, cataract, and anterior segment surgery. She grew up in Buffalo, New York, and graduated with research honors from Cornell University before earning her medical degree Cum Laude from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo — where she was inducted into both Alpha Omega Alpha and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Cook completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital, followed by her ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University, where she was named Administrative Chief Resident and became the inaugural resident board member of the Ohio Ophthalmological Society. She then completed her fellowship in cornea and external diseases at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami, consistently ranked the number one eye hospital in the United States.

Dr. Cook has made significant contributions to ophthalmologic research, publishing studies on corneal graft rejection imaging, astigmatism evaluation methods, and the application of artificial intelligence to corneal disease diagnosis. A Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Brown University's Warren Alpert Medical School, she teaches the next generation of medical students and ophthalmology residents while maintaining an active surgical practice. Dr. Cook is a proud member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), and the New England Ophthalmological Society (NEOS).
