Pranjal Thakuria, M.D. completed his undergraduate work at Yale University, receiving a degree in biology. He received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He then completed his internship in medicine at MetroHealth Medical Center, Case Western Reserve University, followed by ophthalmology residency at Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio, where he served as chief resident.
Dr. Thakuria completed his fellowship in uveitis at the Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institution in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He then completed his fellowship in medical retina at Duke University Eye Center in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Thakuria is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has published numerous articles on uveitis and retinal diseases and is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
He enjoys photography and spending time outdoors with his wife and daughters.
